Berry Beet Smoothie

IMG_9489-1-1smI made a berry-beet smoothie that made me feel flirty on this sunny weekend. I used just enough fruit to disguise the earthy flavor, and the color came out beautifully vibrant. I love beets because they have antioxidants, support detoxification, have anti-inflammatory benefits, help prevent cancer, and give you a glow from the inside out.

Check out the simple but tasty recipe below!

1 cup almond milk

1 red baby beet

10 raspberries

3 strawberries

2 pineapple slices (approx. 1/2 inch thick)

1 banana

6 ice cubes

1 tsp. brown cane sugar

Throw all your ingredients in your food processor, blend, pour, throw in a straw, then drink up!
